This is in Chrome 20.0.1132.47 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. The same sequence looks fine in Firefox 13.0.1 and Safari 5.1.7.

Looks fine in same version of Chrome under OS X 10.7, too...

this sounds like a chrome bug with hardware acceleration, if it still exists we should make a test case and report upstream.
