"New Edit from Selection" would also have to be active when the editor/player/timeline has focus, and something is selected -- basically whenever "Copy Clip" is active. This probably includes zero-frame in-to-out.

Now "New Edit from Selection", when invoked in items section, throws in Focus controller.

opens edits as expected now. selection still wrong since clipList sets ui.listSelection only if one item is selected.
